Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior General Manager (GM) - Legal to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in legal affairs, particularly in land acquisition and liaisoning. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks related to the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Strategy Development:

   • Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company’s business objectives.
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

2. Land Acquisition:

   • Oversee and manage all aspects of land acquisition for the company.
   • Negotiate with landowners and government authorities to secure land deals.

3. Liaisoning:

   • Maintain and build relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
   • Ensure smooth communication and coordination with various external entities.

4. Contract Management:

   • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
   • Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal standards and protect the company’s interests.

5. Risk Management:

   • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations.
   • Provide legal advice to the management team on various issues.

6. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
   • Ensure the legal team is up-to-date with the latest legal developments and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university.
• Experience: At least 20 years of legal experience, with a significant portion spent in the manufacturing industry. Demonstrable expertise in land acquisition and liaisoning is crucial.
• Skills:
